About my translation services

A professional translator since 1987 when he founded and chaired two ISO 9001-certified translation companies, in 1993 Malcolm Duff was appointed principal translator in technology for UNESCO Paris, and in law for the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

Specializing in high technology with his company HTT, he has translated among others for the European Space Agency (ESA), NASA and SEP, the manufacturer of engines for Ariane rockets.

He also led the translation team of the Mattéoli Mission on the dispossession of Jews in France during the Second World War launched by President Jacques Chirac in 1997.

Malcolm Duff has also designed several sites and web services that have marked the language industry internationally, including ETNA™ (precursor of the Internet in 1987), Inttranews™, Kontax™, T4J™ and Inttranet™, the first multilingual portal for professional interpreters and translators (with the contribution of the European Commission), the latter having been included in the UNESCO Observatory for the Information Society in January 2006.

He retired to look after his wife when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, but continues to translate as a freelancer, including pro bono for Reporters Without Borders.

Created in 1999, Inttranet was the first multilingual database for professional interpreters and translators, approved by the translation services of the European Commission.

Created in 2004, Inttranews was the leading aggregator site for daily news in the language industry.

Founded in 2013, Kontax allowed users to publish press releases, have them translated into up to 67 languages and distribute them to some 900,000 professional journalists in more than 100 countries.

Established in 2015, Translators For Journalists (T4J) was a multilingual marketplace for journalists to sell and buy content translated locally by professional translators.

Founded by Malcolm Duff in 1987, HTT was one of the first translation companies in France to obtain ISO 9001 certification and to have a multilingual website.
